Featured Image and Commentary
Perhaps this isn't as impressive as some of the other images I've shared, but it holds a special place for me. This drawing was inspired by a photograph I took a few months ago of a juvenile Green Anole. I decided to exaggerate its smile because I thought it would give the little lizard a more cheerful and endearing personality.
The original photograph was only a close-up of its head, so the rest of the body had to be imagined and drawn as accurately as I could. Lately, I've been drawn toward creating fantastic creatures, but every now and then I enjoy returning to the real world and celebrating the charm of the wildlife around us. I simply couldn't resist drawing this smiling little anole. I hope it brings a smile to your face as much as it did to mine. 😄
